Coimbra’s fame is largely attributed to its university, the University of Coimbra. As one of the oldest continuously operating universities in the world, it serves as a splendid classroom of history. I visited the ancient library, which houses countless precious manuscripts, leaving me in awe of the greatness of human civilization.
Old Town of Coimbra – Ancient Melodies
Leaving the university, I strolled through the old town of Coimbra, where every street and every stone seemed to tell ancient stories. Additionally, the street performers in Coimbra bring vibrant energy to the city. Their music, like ancient melodies, flows through every corner of Coimbra.
Algarve: Nature’s Canvas
Praia da Marinha – A Dream in Blue
Leaving Coimbra, I arrived in Algarve. The highlight of my visit was Praia da Marinha, where the water sparkles like sapphires and the white sand is as soft as cotton. Basking in the sun on the beach, I savored the gifts of nature and truly indulged in the moment.
Cabo de São Vicente – At the Edge of the Atlantic
As the southernmost point of Portugal, Cabo de São Vicente offers a truly magnificent sight. Standing there, you can witness the Atlantic’s vastness and experience the power of nature. This breathtaking view marked the final and most unforgettable stop of my journey through Algarve.
